đź’•Create a self-love ritual.
- Choose 3 or 4 small acts of love and commit to doing them daily. This could be integrated into your morning or bedtime ritual already, but doing these actions with intention and gratitude will ensure that you are carving out time each day to love yourself fully.
- Getting into the habit of making time to love and honor your body and soul will make a huge impact over time.
- Eat a nourishing meal
- Drink a hot beverage
- Take a long shower or bath
- Massage your feet, thanking them for getting you where you need to be
- Practice gratitude, thanking your body for what it’s done for you
- Enjoy some screen-free time
- Move your body in a way that feels good to you
đź’•Develop trust in yourself by honoring your commitments.
- Loving who you are, what you need, and what you want and that means loving yourself enough to trust your commitments.
- Love yourself fully this week by staying true to your word and following through with your commitments. There’s a time to say yes and a time to say no; love yourself enough to honor both your yes’s and your no’s.
đź’•Ask your body what it needs.
- We’ve already made it clear we’re leaving burnout culture and avoiding rest in 2022. No longer are we running ourselves into the ground for no reason.
- Take the opportunity to replace that toxic habit with a new one – asking yourself: what does my body need right now?
- This could be relative to movement: do I need something sweaty or stretchy? Mood-boosting or relaxing? It could be related to your schedule, your plans, your relationships, nourishment – the list goes on.
- Get in the habit of just checking-in with yourself throughout the day. So often we find ourselves on autopilot that when we take a step back, we don’t really know why we’re doing what we’re doing.
- Spend this week prompting yourself to build trust with yourself and honor your intuition, leaning and saying yes to what your body needs.
As you make time to love yourself this week, don’t forget to work your way through your Love List!
