In the FIERCE life, we know self-love isn’t just about mani/pedis and shopping sprees. It means doing the hard stuff, too—

Setting boundaries
Keeping promises to ourselves
Saying no to the second glass of wine
Following through with all the things we say we’re going to do

Self-love means putting yourself first sometimes, even if that’s a muscle you haven’t flexed in a while. More than spa trips and long baths (those are wonderful, too!) self-love means knowing who you really are and having the courage to pursue the people and things that you really want. Here are some small ways you can love yourself better this week:

It sounds silly, but there are SO many benefits to laughter, and it’s a worthwhile addition to your self-care routine.

Laughter: relaxes the whole body, triggers the release of endorphins, protects your heart, and helps release the pressure build up from anger. Wow!

Learn to do things that make you laugh and spend your day joyously.

❤️Meditate❤️

Meditation reduces stress & anxiety, increases self-awareness, teaches you the power of slowing down, and increases sleep hygiene.

❤️Remember who you are and what you’re worth❤️

How often do you spend time thinking about all that you have endured and all that you have overcome?

You owe it to yourself to take a trip down memory lane and acknowledge all that you’ve gone through to get where you are.

Every experience has created a stronger version of you. Remember who you are, what you’ve accomplished, and how far you’ve come.

The idea of showing ourselves some love IS simple... but it's not always easy... so remember that a little goes a long way.
